PRE WWI GERMAN PRUSSIAN MODEL 1873 CAVALRY SABER SWORD-ERFURT 1905

Very good condition and guaranteed original pre WWI Imperial German Prussian Model 1873 cavalry/artillery saber that is complete with correct original scabbard. Sword has Erfurt Arsenal markings on the right blade ricasso under the guard langet. Dated 1905 on the spine. Sword (left side of guard) and scabbard have matching unit markings-G. For issue to a Howitzer Munitions Column attached to a Garde Field Artillery Regiment.

30 blade has nice original bright finish with a little scattered brown and gray and was period sharpened. Still has original leather washer at the base.

Remaining metal finish has brown and gray patina. Leather grip shows some wear and scuffing.
