The saddle blanket Is in very good Condition. The blanket is 84 inches wide and 72 inches long. There is no fraying on the blanket. There are some small pin hold on the blanket.

The blanket is rectangular and has two stripes of olive brown at each end. A large US and the ordnance bomb (bursting shell) are embroidered in the center. The blanket has a maker's name tag is in the corner. This particular type of horse blanket was used from its conception in 1908 to the demise of the horse cavalry in 1942.
