RARE! WW1 IMPERIAL GERMAN PRUSSIAN RESERVIST'S LANDSTURM FIELD CAP. ORIGINAL

From a private collection, a superb & very rare WW1 Imperial German field cap for a Landsturm reservist. This model is the M1813 pattern & was used for all those years right up to & during the beginning of the war when in later 1914 it was decided to manufacture them in field grey colour. It has a Prussian cockade & the large reservist's cross to the front. It is in almost mint condition although does have signs of use. It still retains a size label inside (57).

There are two press-studs (snaps) at the rear for size adjustment. There is an owner's name just visible on the peak (visor). It appears to have been folded in half & stored away for a very long time (fold line still present on top). The band has an outside circumference of 61 cm when adjusted to largest size.
