The chassis is clean and complete. The top of the right side case latch is missing.
The bakelite panel has no cracks or chips. The original crystal detector is still intact. All nickle plated parts look good. The lid paper is there intact. The radio comes with a pair of Murdock headphones.
I bought this 35 years ago at the AWA radio meet in NY. Five manufacturers are named for making these BC-14-A crystal radio receivers, but the Deforest, Liberty, and General Radio ones are common, The Marconi, and Wireless Specialty ones are never seen. This will be probably be the only Wireless Specialty one available for sale. I know of only one other radio collector that has a Wireless Specialty BC-14A model like this. Do not be afraid to make an offer. The item "RARE WWI 1918 WIRELESS SPECIALTY BC-14A CRYSTAL RADIO RECEIVER" is in sale since Friday, July 19, 2019. This item is in the category "Collectibles\Radio, Phonograph, TV, Phone\Radios\Crystal Radios". The seller is "early-radio" and is located in Garrison, New York. This item can be shipped worldwide.
