Super Rare Pre WW1'1912' US 1911A-1 Fine CAVALRY HOLSTER Rock Island Arsenal

NOT REPRODUCTION / ALL ORIGINAL. From the research I have done this 1912 year Rock Island Arsenal Holster is supposed to be the very first production of this 1911-A1 Holster. I cannot make out if there is more engraved. The Rock Island Arsenal was created by an Act of Congress in July 1862. This holster being the hinged Cavalry Model makes it all the more rare.

The hinge allowed the holster to move with the cavalry man's leg. It was designed for a web belt and has it's original rawhide'pig-tailed' leg tie down strap intact. This holster considering the age being 105 years old is near MINT. The mahogany brown leather has some very soft patina and no abuse. Some light leather surface wear on back of holster where it rubbed against the cavalry trooper's body.

1911 Semi which was also produced super early patented and marked by Colt of Hartford CT: Sept. 19, 1909, Feb 14, 1911" + "United States Property" + "Model of 1911 U. I'm breaking up the set because I found that the pistol dealers won't pay premium for a' super rare' holster and vice-versa for rare holster collectors.
