The BEST WWI USMC Marine Corps 2nd Division Painted Chiefs Helmet HQ 4th Brig

This is a stunning original WWI painted USMC 2nd div helmet to Hqs 4th Brigade and they must have been the "big Chiefs" to have this elaborate painted helmet with full indian chiefs headress paint job. The helmet is in excellent condition and completely original.

The veteran marines name is on the chin strap but I cannot make it out fully, but you can see the "USMC" at the end of his name. Please see the pictures and ask if you need any more. There is a very similar helmet shown in the fine book "Equipping the corps" on page 294.
