These are some old WWI US Calvary Saddle Bags that belonged to my dad that he no longer wants. They're stamped BOYT 1917. My dad has owned them for several decades. Most of that time they have been hanging in the garage.
Honestly very little damage for how old they are. There's no interior canvas lining in the bags, just the plain leather. I've included several photos of the saddle bags, but if you would like a closer look at the cracking or in general just message me. I usually respond the same day.
The bags are a little dusty, we air cleaned them with an air compressor and wiped them down with a rag to get most of the dust off. We haven't used any type of liquid cleaning products or otherwise that could damage the leather, just air and a rag.
