Someone was clearly more talented than me! This plane is absolutely beautiful! The only flaw I see is where it was damaged while being displayed.
The propeller is attached to a rubber band so when the prop is turned it spins from the rubber band. The decals and paint is done flawlessly. The construction is all wood frame covered in paper..
Measures 24" long and 28" wide. Here is a little history on this plane. The Boeing P-26 "Peashooter" was the first American production all-metal fighter aircraft and the first pursuit monoplane to enter squadron service with the United States Army Air Corps. Designed and built by Boeing, the prototype first flew in 1932, and the type was still in use with the U. Army Air Corps as late as 1941 in the Philippines.
There are two surviving Peashooters, but there are three reproductions on display with two more under construction. If you have any questions just send me a message.
