WW1 1914 Jaeger military Trench watch A Matthey Jaquet German French import vgc
This is a great Silver trench watch in very good used condition. The watch is in beautiful and it looks amazing , The dial is crack free brilliant white and still very vibrant and striking retaining most off its lume both on the number markers and 98% on the excellent cathedral hands The Silver case case is hallmarked for 0800 grade silver and the import marks into Germany The glass has a small crack on the edge only at 6 o clock , its small and not worth doing anything about. Its winding and & working well, its keeping great time and i have worn it for a day to check it. The watch looks great , normally watches this age have suffered , this is excellent It really is a very nice beautifully made timepiece with a nice Jaeger gilt lovely quality movement , it comes on a period circlet strap that is complete but the leather needs replacing , these alone are collectors items. The lugs are around 11mm in width.
This really is a phenomenal looking watch rarely if ever seen , a nice size & wonderful condition The watch measures 35mm across 33mm without the crown and around 38mm lugs to lugs The case is 9.5 mm thick and the back closes as it should , one tiny mark on the rear cover and one scratch on the bezel the rest is A1 condition. The crown is also original PLEASE READ. My watches are not serviced before sale and are sometimes 100 plus years old so can be fragile and sometimes get knocked in transit effecting the timekeeping (despite my bombproof packaging).
