Ww1 1915 Dated Map Board/ Compass & Clinometer Rfc / Cavalry Arm Board. Rare

Original WW1 1915 dated Royal Flying Corps or Cavalry officers arm strap map board in boxwood or similar, complete with original silvered fitted compass, scrolling tubular map carriers and clinometer. Manufactured by scientific instrument manufactures, HOUGHTONS LTD - LONDON 1915 for military service use and stamped with British Military broad arrow and the issue number - No. Still complete with original strap and buckle for strapping to pilot's or rider's arm where, when in seated position in the aircraft cockpit or saddle the map and board were secure and viewable. Board also shows calculations of degrees of scope and vertical/internal written by original user one presumes.

I have cleaned one small area of board on clinometer side at top to show how well it will cleanup if desired, see picture. Otherwise nice patina/used look to the board.
