Ww1 British Army Helmet. Complete & 100% Original

A very fine WW1 British Army helmet with its original factory paint which is mostly present & in good condition, please study photos (shows age & wear). The shell is in very good condition with just two slight /shallow dents at the top, please see pic 4. The underside brim is stamped with "FS 188", for T, Firth & Sons Ltd of Sheffield, (the steel suppliers).

The numbers refer to the batch of metal used. The liner has a size 6 3/4 stamping. The liner is in very good used condition, however there is an area of mothing at the centre of the felt crown cushion , again please see pics.

It is the very early pattern liner with no rubber'doughnut' under the felt. It has the standard & very clear'Brodie' ink stamping. The leather chinstrap is in very good condition with no repairs.
