WW1 British Army Officers MkV Cavalry Pocket Compass Stanley London 1917. Genuine period MkV pocket compass as used by officers and enlisted men who served in the field during the First World War. The compass is made in the style of a'hunter' pocket watch with a sprung lid, which was favoured by servicemen on horseback as it can be used one-handed allowing the rider to have control of the reigns. The compass is in good original condition with the button activated sprung lid in good working order.
T he compass points north, however due to its age I cannot guarantee 100% accuracy.
