Offered is a 1908 Pattern British Army Trooper's Cavalry sword - famously used by the Australian Light horsemen. This is an excellent original, WW1 British 1908 Pattern Heavy Cavalry Troopers Sword & Scabbard.

This pattern of Sword was famously used by the Australian Light Horse during the First World War. The Sword features a 89cm long single edged blade with fuller. The blade is clean but pitted. Sanderson Brothers & Neubold Limited.

The hilt is fitted with a replacement leather washer. It has the correct full bowl guard and thatched brown composite grip with thumb recess. The spine of the forte has been cut and lower blade refixed, obviously from service use. Check out my other items. Please view our guide on spotting fake militaria.
