WW1 British Tankers Mask

Here we have a rare and not often seen example of a British Tankers Mask and one of only a few we have ever had in the shop. The mask was designed in WW1 to prevent Splatter, the internal shrapnel that flies around inside a tank, these were not widely produced and were relatively rare even during the war.

The piece is made of steel sheets with eye slits in with a padded leather cover and a chainmail veil made of mild steel. This would be a brilliant addition to any collection of WW1 memorabilia especially with a tank focus. Please note this an authentic piece.
