Very nice complete, (less chin strap) WW1 British helmet marked to a soldier in a machine gun unit. His name and unit info. Is scratched into paint on underside of rim and his name is also painted on. Tag shows information that is scratched in. Exterior has painted unit markings to front and both sides.
The front and one side is white paint and the two bars are a light blue. Maker / supplier of steel of shell is D/F 89. I believe that would be James Dixon & Sons Ltd.
