Returning from Bomb raid on St. CRIST we dropped height to attack ground targets. A Pfalz scout passed at right angles 200 ft. Below us between Rosieres and Chaulnes. Observer fire two double-drums into E. Which dived down very steeply and crashed, bursting into flames on hitting the ground. Flew Sopwith Triplanes, Sopwith Camels and DH4s. He Served in 205 Squadron. Distinguished Flying Cross awarded L.
