Lieutenant, Acting Captain / Pilot, RAF. On 8th Aug 1918 with his Observer, Sergeant l. Murphy, had one confirmed kill of a Pfalz Scout whilst on a DH4 Bombing Raid in France between Rosieres and Chaulnes. Returning from Bomb raid on St. CRIST we dropped height to attack ground targets. A Pfalz scout passed at right angles 200 ft. Below us between Rosieres and Chaulnes. Observer fire two double-drums into E. Which dived down very steeply and crashed, bursting into flames on hitting the ground. Flew Sopwith Triplanes, Sopwith Camels and DH4s. He Served in 205 Squadron. Distinguished Flying Cross awarded L.In October 1932 he married Phyllis Brookes at Kensington. He died on 9th December 1961 at 16 Adelaide Court Hill Road, Hampstead, London.
