The Imperial German Army began to replace the traditional boiled leather Pickelhaube (spiked combat helmet) with the. During World War I in 1916. Helmets are painted to avoid detection by enemies and such camo colours depend on the surrounding. This camo helmet comprises of brick red and black patches. The paint patches are separated by black lines.
