WW1 German Maxim MG08 ammunition box 100% original pre-1918

This is an original German steel ammo box for the MG09 heavy machinegun. It is the pre-1918 model made from heavy steel and the dual catch closure latch. The box was intended to hold two belts of 7.92 ammunition. The interior still retains the divider which is a rare feature as most of the time this divider was removed for post-war use as a tool box. Overall condition is sound and usable.
