WW1 German Pickelhaube Helmet with Field Cover and Original Storage Box

All of the items in this listing came together and all are in really nice condition considering they are over 100 years old. The helmet is a Model1891 German Officer Pickelhaube with the Prussian eagle in brass on the front. The brass scale chin straps are totally intact with the black leather straps and buckle underneath.

All of the brass components on the helmet are in really good condition with no dents. The inside of the helmet is also in great condition with intact leather and 2 piece cloth. Underneath the cloth is some old writing that I took a picture of. Then you have the field cover old style that slips on and it has minimal wear to it.

Both pieces have that old musty smell from sitting in the storage box for so long. The nice black storage box has an interior label and the interior leather straps. The lining of the box is in really good condition too.

The outside of the box has some wear and a partial label on the top and side near the top. The base of the box has its strap and 4 brass studs. Finally, there is a folded up German newspaper that was stuffed inside the helmet and it is very fragile so I will not try to open it up to see exactly what it is.
