WW1 German steel helmet M17 original liner, paint and chinstrap, Si62

Original paint, liner and chinstrap on this WW1 survivor. M17 leather liner with steel ring in very nice condition considering the time that has lapsed since the war. No pillows in the pads and it looks like that is the way the soldier wore it.

Chinstrap is in decent condition with brass fittings. It does have a cut in the leather on the brim. Shell is in great condition with no dents, cracks or rust. These complete helmets are getting real hard to find. If I wasn't so old, I would hang on to some of these.
