(J215) For sale here is an unusual pre WW1 German Royal Wurttemberg 25th Dragoon Regiment Uhlan Uniform. The uniform is complete with jacket and pants. The jacket is made from coarse, dark, field grey wool that is accented with Cavalry yellow wool felt. The jacket features Polish style cuffs, and all of the silver buttons are present(with the exception of one in the back), but they are hollow backed and not maker marked.

The jacket has a hook and loop alternating front closure with one broken hook. The jacket was made for a slip on type shoulder board that is not present. The Mandarin collar is tall and stiff.

The jacket shows soiling, age, patina, wear, dirt, and slight surface moth tracking. The back of the right cuff shows serious wear damage. On the back, one of the silver buttons is missing, this should be fairly easy to replace. Overall, this jacket is in excellent condition, considering its age.

It may be much older than listed here. Inside, the jacket upper is lined in burlap.

There is heavy wear at the collar and some seam separation at the armpit. There is a faint handwritten number 4 on the burlap. There are no other markings. The pants are a different story, they are heavily mothed. Especially the front thigh area. The pants have a rear backstrap with rusted buckle and wooden flap and suspender buttons all the way around. The pants do have a single pocket on the right hand side. The waist and front thigh area is lined in white cotton canvas. There is a maker's tag in the pants that says Dragoner Stauch 2 Gafabron Drag. There is a handwritten monogram initial that looks like LB and a name that appear Butmer. The pants are complete with stirrups and what appears to be wooden buttons Again, the jacket is very nice and the pants have quite a bit of moth damage. The pants are slightly darker than the jacket.

This is an unusual and rare set and would be a great addition to any collection. The measurements are below for your convenience. Front Top to Bottom w Collar: 21.
