WW1 Officer's silver hunter trench watch 1917. Black & white dial

A First World War Officer's hunting cased wristwatch. The solid silver case is in very good condition & measures approximately 35mm diameter not including the crown & lugs. (This is a genuine wristwatch & not a converted pocket watch). It has the London imported silver marks for 1917 & the sponsor's mark GS (George Stockwell).

The front cover springs open when the button at 6 is pressed, the rear cover is also hinged, both hinges are very good, the strap lugs are firm. The military black and white dial is excellent. The Swiss made lever movement is running well and keeping good time for this type of watch, gaining approximately 3 minutes per day, the minute hand is loose and sometimes clashes with the hour hand so will need fixing on firmly. Re-listed due to non paying timewaster.
