WW1 Officer's silver trench watch 1916. George Stockwell hunter case

A First World War Officer's hunting cased military wristwatch. The solid silver case measures 35mm diameter not including the crown & lugs, the front cover springs open when the button between 7 & 8 is pressed. (This is a genuine wristwatch & not a converted pocket watch). It has the London imported silver marks for 1916 & the case makers mark GS.

Both hinges are good & the strap lugs are firm. The dial is very good, there is a small edge chip which you can only see if you take off the bezel. The Swiss made 15 jewel lever movement is running & keeping good time, gaining about 8 minutes per 24 hours, there is room for some adjustment on the regulator, would benefit from a service if bought for regular use. The military leather strap is in good usable condition.
