WW1 or Earlier English Devonshire Regiment Dress Picklehaube Helmet in Tin Box Belonging to Author of the Unit History and other military related book about his unit Lt Col. A lieutenant at the beginning of the war and eventually rising in rank as the war progress. The Tin Helmet Box is in very good condition, Named to Gotto on a plate attached to the lid with the retailers name also on the lid "HAWKES & Co PICCADILLY LONDON". The Picklehaube is in very good condition, Maker stamped on the inside to "HAWKES & Co"... Gottos name is on the inside on a small label.

The Unit plate is very nice and officers quality with the Devonshire Castle mounted on the cloth that is on the plate, the cloth is fraying. A light cleaning would bring out the deep color of this helmet (we only lightly clean items, most items we sell are estate fresh). Please view our other auctions for related items.
