Ww1 Pair Medals Mercantile Marine War Medal & British War Medal In Boxs Of Issue

Here' s a lovely pair of original medals to the Merchant Marine. The Mercantile Marine War Medal and the British War Medal both correctly impressed to'JOHN MC TAVISH'. Medals appear to be cleaned but in excellent unworn condition.

Both come with Board of Trade envelopes in excellent condition. Both come with unworn original silk ribbon (for some reason there are two pieces of BWM ribbon). Type boxes are in excellent condition however appear to have been nicely repaired at the corners with clear tape - does not detract. As often seen on Merchant Marine pairs, the recipients name is written on the end of each box. This is original and contemporary naming - see photos.
