WW1 WW2 WING PANEL PAINTED IN LUFTWAFFE ME109 COLOURS RLM. You are looking at a wing panel of an unknown aircraft painted to resemble the colours of an ME109 (The Messerschmitt Bf 109 is a German World War II fighter aircraft that was the backbone of the Luftwaffe's fighter force). I recently bought this with other military items from an old collector and I was told that the wing (without paint) is actually a wing panel of an aircraft (unknown model or age) and that the paint was added later to make it resemble like the wing panel of an ME109, with the German Cross, light and dark grey on the upper side and another type of German Cross with sky colour on the bottom side. The guy whom I bought it from told me that he got it from the scraps of a movie set which was filmed in Malta, so most probably this was used as part of a war relic in a movie set.

The wing panel measures 36 X 32 inches and 5 inches wide at its widest part. It has bullet holes going from one side of the panel through the other and has some others which didn't make it through (they are shown in pictures). It is made from very light aluminium and has some parts of the framing which is partly metal. The paint is faded and some parts are scratched and corroded (seen in pictures). However this looks really nice as a display piece, to be hang on a wall or used as a table top.
