There is an example of the bayonet on page 31 in Cole's third book. He describes it as a number 2 Remington. The blade has some minor spotting. Otherwise in very good condition. The green scabbard show some minor use and is in Great shape.
It's marked GF in a circle just over the staple. Also marked the same on the drag. Looks to have the markings F. On the green part of the scabbard. Have no idea what this could be.
Maybe the owner's initials? The wood handle is in very good condition.
