WWI 1918 US Army Knuckle Duster Trench Knife and Metal Scabbard by AuLion

Original WWI US Trench Knife issued by AuLion. First issued by the French to US troops until American companies could get up to speed to supply these. Most US issued Trench Knives never saw action. Solid brass handle stamped 1918. The blade is very clean for it's age, still has a factory edge and no nicks.

The metal scabbard was painted over the last 100 years to prevent it from rusting away. They were always problematic due to rust and battle damage, there aren't any significant dents and both belt attachments are still firmly in place. Hard to find French maker in great condition...
