
This Postcard was sent one month after World War I ended from France to the United States in January of 1919. It was mailed from a a relative of mine to his wife just after the war ended. It features a "Bonne Année" (Happy New Year) message as well as reference to "The sun head shone today" or something similar. THIS POSTCARD WAS POSTMARKED ON THE SAME EXACT DAY THE PARIS PEACE CONFERENCE BEGAN, JANUARY 18th, 1919.
Additionally, It bears 2 different Postmarks. This very rare & unique piece of militaria history provides a glimpse into the correspondence between soldiers during the turbulent times of the First World War, showcasing a piece of American military history with a touch of French culture that can't be duplicated.
