WWI French Model 1866 Chassepot Bayonet + Sheath TR2027

Here is a French Chassepot Bayonet measuring 27.5" OAL, 23" blade. Blade shows a smooth scattered age patina finish along with the scabbard. Shows a French P in a circle cartouche on the ricasso, with the obverse side showing a serial no. Along with the scabbard back neck area. The spine has had the Arsenal markings removed and is blank and there is a serial no.

Of 1503 on the pommel end.
