WWI German M18 cutout Helmet with liner and chinstrap. The helmet shell at some point was misshapened or compressed perhaps during the war.
The shell shape and symmetry is NOT perfect although it still is very strong. Helmet shell CANNOT be compressed by hand and is as strong as always. I dont know if the shape can be adjusted or should be. Looks to have original liner and steel band. Has age to it as pictures show.
Does not have liner pillows. The thicker rear rivet head is original but the rivet prongs are gone. Someone at some point glued the rivet head to the shell, this should be easily remedied.
Marked ET64 which is correct for cutout helmets. I'm told the numbers stamped inside the dome are correct and appropriate for this helmet.
Chinstrap buckle and hardware are original and correct. Although old, I don't know if chinstrap leather is vintage. I've tried to describe helmet to the best of my ability. The item "WWI German M18 cutout Helmet with liner and chinstrap" is in sale since Monday, April 15, 2019.
