WWI German Mauser 1896 C96 Broomhandle Pistol Leather Stock Holster Dated 1916

Original WWI Era German Military Leather Stock Holster for the Mauser 1896 C96 "Broomhandle" Pistol - Dated 1916 - Nice Condition. This leather is soft and flexible. The flap on the compartment is stiff and has cracked. The strap that secures the cleaning rod, on the side at top, is missing.

There is a hole in the bottom of the slot for the cleaning rod, see photo. The top strap looks like a vintage replacement. The rest of the holster is sound. Stitching is intact, no fraying. On the front, inside the holster is the name: Karl Bing that was handwritten in the leather.

It is very faint and difficult to read. These Original Stock Holsters are very hard to find in any condition. This one has a few issues, but is still very collectible and would make an excellent display with an original Broom Handle Pistol. Check out my other items.
