WWI German Pickelhaube Felt Spike Helmet No Reserve

This is a neat old German helmet made of felt. It has a spike on top and a great emblem.

Looks to be in very good condition for its age, although it is missing the chin strap and lining. Still displays very very well. I see no breaks or repairs. There is one nick in the brim, please see closeup photo.

Also, the spike looks to have been slightly dented at the very tip. Tag inside says 1822 but I can't imagine it being that old.

Looks like other WW1 German helmets I have seen, although I don't know much about these at all. No reserve, a great old item for your collection.
