The frame is not particularly old but I find it to be suitable. The frame measures close to 55 ΒΌ by 15 1/4 inches. The area of the photo exposed by the mat measures close to 46 3/4 by 7 inches. The framed photo weighs close to 9 pounds 13 ounces. A notice on the reverse indicates that the photo is behind acrylic glass.
The white writing at the bottom of the photo reads, "Headquarters Company 69th Infantry". The condition is much like you see it in the photos. There are some cracks and one small spot of what might be light discoloration to the right of the writing.
Most of the cracks are towards the right hand edge. I have provided a closeup of one crack that is elsewhere. There is one long white mark that I think is some kind of scratch. It is wider and thicker than the fine cracks. It looks like a tiny amount of the surface of the photo is missing along that crack. How visible the cracks are depends very much upon the angle and uniformity of the lighting and how close one is to the photo. The paper backing on the frame is a little detached at a corner. Close up shows a tiny bit of some kind of white substance that is sitting on top of the mat. Any other flaws are extremely minor.
I have not examined the photo out of the frame. Otherwise, this item is generally fine and that's shown in the photos. I guarantee this framed photo to be as described and represented by the photos. The photos are part of the description.
Please look at all of them. Please note that the lighting in my photos is uneven, and there might be shadows or reflections. The colors on my monitor look close to but not exactly like the actual colors; different monitors may show different colors. I often say that an item measures or weighs "approximately" or "close to" because no measurements are exact, and some things are difficult to measure.
Often, I have a box custom made for items that I do not have a used box for which might result in a short delay. When I use packing peanuts, they are usually made from biodegradable materials.
