This is a nice Imperial German First World War Prussian NCO visor hat that is in very good condition. It I constructed of feldgrau felt material with the crown piped in red and a red head band. The original national and Prussian cockades are both present and original to the hat. The black leather visor is sewn tightly in place as is the leather sweatband. Both features are with the original stitching which remains strong and solid. The interior is lined with white muslin and is lightly sweat stained and soiled from actual field use. The sweat shield is long gone with the owner having written his name across this area on the interior. The name begins with the letter, M and is very hard to make out. It appears to be Muschetz. There is one area of wear to the left side of the red headband that can be seen in the photos. In addition, 3 or 4 pinhead size moth holes and a field repaired 1ΒΌ inch tear in the top. This stitched repairs is very old and appears to be contemporary to the hat. None of these imperfections are significant or affect the hats appearance. It remains in original field used condition and displays very nicely. The item "WWI IMPERIAL GERMAN PRUSSIAN NCO VISOR HAT" is in sale since Saturday, November 26, 2016.
