WWI M1874 French Gras Bayonet withScabbard-Matching Numbers-Dated 1878

Pre-WWI M1874 French Gras Bayonet with Scabbard. Ricasso is marked with two French stamps, one is a "5" and the other is illegible, the spine has French script on it including St. The crossguard and quillion area have three more French stamps but are illegible, the underside of the crossguard has more French stamps including a "3" and an "R", the front of the crossguard has "B 94994" on it, the same mark is on the hanger mount of the scabbard, the ball finial has a "2" on one side and on the reverse side is an "M"?

Everything is tight with typical wear. Muzzle hole opening is 11/16. The blade is straight, has not been sharpened, no nicks, and does have some age spots throughout. The scabbard is solid with a few small dings-dents (nothing major), but does have some light surface rust throughout.

Length of the blade measures 20 1/2" (7/8" wide x 7/16" thick spine), length of the bayonet is 25 5/16", and overall in the scabbard it is 25 15/16. Check out my other War items!!
