This is a very nice pre-WWI U. Model 1903 cartridge belt by Mills that remains in excellent condition. It is constructed of heavy, brown webbing and is with nine ammunition pockets each with an eagle snap closure button.
The metal tips at the ends of the belt are with the Mills cartridge logo and all the patent dates. The interior of the belt is lightly stenciled with crossed rifles,'76','Co. A' and what appears to be,'Sgt. Webster', and another line that is difficult to make out.
There is no damage to either the webbing or the snaps. Snaps are with original dark bronze finish. The interlocking front closure buckle is made of bronze and is fully functional. The belt is without fraying, stains, or damage and remains in excellent, lightly field used condition.
