This sling was designed to be used with the US M1917 Enfield Rifle. The sling is made from a canvas material and has a unique spring snap buckle.
The buckles are marked: "NoBuckl" and has the 1914 Patent Date. The sling is in Excellent Condition.
No rips or tears, no fraying. There are no markings on the sling, only on the metal buckles, as shown in the photos. The is the longer WWI M1917 "NoBuckl" Sling, NOT the shorter WWII M3 Kerr Sling. This is an Original Functional WWI era Sling and would look great on a WWI era rifle. NOTE: this is a collectible item, suitable for a correct historic display. It is NOT recommended for actual use. This is the sling that was commonly used on the M1917 Enfield, the M1 Garand, the M1903 Springfield, the M1903A3 Springfield and the M1941 Johnson Rifles.Check out my other items.
