WWI US Army Mounted Cavalry Canteen with Cover & Cup 1918 RARE, All Original

Complete in-tack WW I US Calvery military canteen, manufactured by The Aluminum Company of America (ACA) in March of 1918 - see imprint on inside flap and stamping on back of canteen. All of the hinges, buckles and snaps are in-tack and functioning, and the leather strap is in-tack and original - see pictures for condition of leather strap. Other than some very minor fading and minimal imperfections on the cover which should be expected, the cover has no holes, no tears, no handwriting, and no stains and is in excellent condition. Also, please see picture of the inside lining of the cover which is also in excellent condition.

The canteen itself has two dimples on one side which seems to be common with these canteens and may have to do with the manufacturing process. Otherwise, there are no indentations or obvious damage to the canteen - please see pictures. The handle and hinge on the cup work flawlessly and have no damage. The screw top to the canteen still has its original cork inside lining. This is one of the finest examples of this canteen you will find and in excellent all original condition.
