This is an original WWI U. Army M1910 dismounted cartridge belt, field-painted in a winter camouflage whitewash. This rare variation was likely adapted in the field for winter operations to reduce visibility against snow-covered terrain. 30-06 rifle ammunition (Springfield M1903, M1917 Enfield). 10 pockets total - each with snap closure.
Original winter white camouflage paint applied over OD canvas. Adjustable waist with double hook closure. Genuine period wear and patina. Good overall for its age, with honest wear from use. White camouflage paint shows wear and chipping in areas, exposing original OD green canvas underneath. All snaps functional, stitching intact. See photos for details-this is the exact belt you will receive.
Painted and camouflage-modified WWI cartridge belts are uncommon, especially in white for winter operations. This would make an excellent addition to a WWI collection, living history display, or as a centerpiece in a U.
