A collection of WWI period Officer's leather webbing. Consists of binoculars, compass, pistol holster & Sam Browne belt. The binoculars are made by Ross London, Serial no.

The optics are clear, generally in very good condition. I guess the yellow arrows might be a later addition.

The binoculars case is stamped XI Hussars to the top of the lid and the front. The binoculars are a tight fit in the case. Spring fastener is in good condition, no shoulder strap present. Some scuffing to the leather towards the back of the case on one side.

The compass is made by Armstrong & Brothers, Manchester. The glass in the lid is damaged and the face of the compass internally is damaged with flaking to the paint.

The ring on the base is loose but could be glued back in position. The case is marked with initials LSD. Good condition besides the belt loop stitching is damaged. 45 pistol holster which is marked Dale on the inside.

Measures approx: 26 cm along the straight edge including the flap, 17.5 cm along the top of the flap. The longest measurement across on the diagonal is 35 cm. The stitching on the bottom of the belt loop has come undone and the flap section with the hook is a bit worn.

The end has been crushed a little. The Sam Browne is unmarked besides being named to Dale. From the buckle to the holes is 32 - 36 1/2. A couple of extra pairs of holes have been added. The cross strap measures 38 which is on its largest.
